Francophone Studies Certificate

The Francophone Studies Certificate offers a deep dive into the rich linguistic and cultural landscapes of French-speaking regions across the globe. Designed to enhanced proficiency in French, students can tailor the certificate to their interests with the variety of electives in literature, culture, or linguistic, history, political science or they can study abroad.

Native speakers, heritage speakers, and students who are already proficient at the intermediate level in French will substitute two 3000- or 4000- level French courses for FRE 2200 and/or FRE 2201.
