The Florida Prison Education Project, which provides educational opportunities to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people, is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a current UCF student who was formerly incarcerated or who is system impacted.

Selection Criteria

  • Full-time UCF student (graduate or undergraduate).
  • Student needs to have at least one more year at UCF.
  • Holds a GPA of 2.0.
  • Strong commitment to Higher Education in Prison.
  • This scholarship is for students who are formerly incarcerated, system-impacted, or demonstrate a commitment to social justice.

Award

$1,000 – Awarded annually in Spring for the next academic year.

Awards and scholarships are considered a resource and must be included as a part of a student’s financial aid cost of attendance. If a scholarship exceeds your financial cost of attendance, a reduction to your financial aid may occur.
