Biography
Jessie Oldham is the Program Coordinator for the Department of History at the University of Central Florida.
As Program Coordinator, Jessie works closely with most public history projects housed within the department and works alongside History faculty to plan and execute history events programming throughout the academic year.
Jessie has worked on a number of projects for the Regional Initiative for Collecting the History, Experiences, and Stories of Central Florida (RICHES), including the Bending Towards Justice (https://bendingtowardjustice.cah.ucf.edu) and Paramore projects. She is the Project Manager for the Veterans History Project, which works to honor the experiences of Central Florida veterans by collecting and archiving their oral histories (https://vetstories.cah.ucf.edu). Jessie is also a co-principal investigator on the Veterans Legacy Program, a Veterans Administration-funded project that aims to connect veterans commemorated at national cemeteries to the broader community using cutting-edge technology and innovative pedagogy designed by a collaborative team of university professors, staff, students, and K-12 educators (https://vlp.cah.ucf.edu).
Jessie is a double UCF history alum; she received her M.A. in 2022 and her B.A. in 2011. She also received her B.A. in English literature from UCF in 2011.
