Each year, the UCF Department of Philosophy presents Academic Excellence Awards to undergraduates majoring in Humanities and Cultural Studies, Philosophy, or Religion and Cultural Studies.
Winners receive a $500 award. Awards will be determined by a committee of departmental faculty and presented at an event in April where winners will discuss their academic work.
Students interested in applying for an award should consult with a faculty member in the Philosophy Department and request that the faculty member submit a letter of nomination on their behalf to [email protected].
Students can apply by submitting:
- a 1-2 page letter of application that explains the student’s academic achievements and future academic goals
- an original writing sample, maximum of 10 double-spaced pages
- a copy of the student’s myKnightAudit
These materials must be submitted in a single PDF attachment to [email protected].
