Biography
Angela Leeds has written and presented both locally and internationally on Victorian fiction, nineteenth-century periodicals, and neo-slave narratives. Her research interests include Victorian literature, culture, and the ways in which they intersect with religion, abundant display, ethnobotany, foodways, and empire.

PRE-1865. This course surveys some of the earliest and greatest writers of the English language, from the medieval period through the late eighteenth-century. We will investigate authors and texts from a variety of genres that cover approximately 1000 years of English literature. The successful student will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the readings through weekly assignments that require both critical thinking and effective communication skills. This class is offered completely online. |
