Each year, two $1,250 scholarships will be awarded to UCF students who are formerly incarcerated or justice-impacted (including those having a parent, sibling, or close family member affected by incarceration or court system involvement).
Selection Criteria
- Applicants must be undergraduate students
- Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Applicants must have at least one year of undergraduate education left at UCF at the time of application.
- Applicants must submit a personal essay sharing their story or experience and how this scholarship will help them achieve their goals.
- Applicants must be formerly incarcerated or justice-impacted (including those having a parent, sibling, or close family member affected by incarceration or court system involvement).
The scholarship shall be awarded in the spring semester and dispersed in the following academic year. The scholarship shall be non-renewable and can only be awarded once per student.

Awards and scholarships are considered a resource and must be included as a part of a student’s financial aid cost of attendance. If a scholarship exceeds your financial cost of attendance, a reduction to your financial aid may occur.
