What is Service-Learning in Women’s Studies?
Each semester, undergraduate students in the UCF Women’s Studies Program turn knowledge into action by completing Service-Learning projects with community partners. In the classroom, students learn theories and methods of analyzing women’s roles in history and contemporary society and the importance of activism on behalf of women.
How can I get involved?
Yes! The Young Women Leaders Program qualifies for all service-learning courses underneath the Women’s Studies Program umbrella, unless other stipulations have been made by Women’s Studies instructors in specific courses.
It is your job to establish YWLP as your community partner by making initial contact early in the semester and maintaining regular contact with the current Program Coordinator as the semester progresses. The Program Coordinator can be reached at (407) 823-6502.
