- GPA of 3.20 or higher
Award:
$250.00 – One Award Given
In letter of recommendation/nomination, candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to at least one of the following areas:
- Strong commitment to Race Relations in the US
- Leadership on issues of peace
- High Academic Achievements
- Activism
- Major or minor in Africana Studies
- Social Justice Projects
- Community Service Learning Activity
- Gender Equality
- Human Rights Advocacy

- Attach current résumé in the form
- Include personal statement with rationale for award (250 words max)
The top winner will be notified at the Women’s and Gender Studies Program Scholarship Reception the first week of May. Funds will be distributed during fall term or summer if graduation comes first.
