On Friday, April 29 Dr. Santana was inducted as an Honorary Member to the Hispanic National Society, Sigma Delta Pi. Together with other four students, Santana received the traditional red carnation and red candle symbolizing the passion for the Spanish Language, Culture and Literature. The event also included presentations from other Sigma Delta Pi members and faculty of the Modern Languages and Literatures, Dr. Martha Garcia, Dr. Alvaro Villegas and Dr. Francisco Fernández y Rubiera.
