WHAT SKILLS WILL I LEARN THROUGH THIS PROGRAM?
You will learn skills such as critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, synthesis, knowledge and fluency with contemporary arts, reference to contemporary conceptualization and practice, participation in the international dialog of contemporary art and design and an increased understanding of personal contextualization within the arts.
DO YOU HAVE FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE?
Yes, some students win our several Graduate Teaching Assistantships. We also have a Dean’s Fellowship and a Provost’s Fellowship to offer each year’s incoming class.
DO YOU PROVIDE STUDIOS?
Yes, our new facility offers each student a variety of studios to match a wide variety of needs and preferences. Factors include: wall size, windows to let in natural light, studio proximity to the control common areas and studios set apart for quieter spaces.
WHAT OTHER FACILITIES ARE THERE?
Many, we have a wood shop, computer lab, a dedicated print lab, a VR cave, and access to the studios of the Visual Arts Building. Additionally, the UCF Art Gallery is home to our MFA exhibitions.
WHERE EXACTLY ARE YOU LOCATED?
UCF is ten minutes from downtown Orlando with the Orlando Museum of Art, City Arts, FAVO, and commercial galleries. Also we are a few hours drive from the Miami Beach Convention Center, home to Art Basel Miami.
