UCF Alumni featured in Orlando Science Center Exhibition

March 19, 2019  UCF alumni Gabe Cortese ’17 and Sheherazade Thenard ’18 have work featured in the Orlando Science Center’s Fusion: A STEAM Gallery through April 23. In their exhibition, “Identity and the Landscape,” Cortese and Thenard investigate figuration within an idealized landscape to explore complexities of their respective identities.

Florida Prison Education Project wins Artworks grant

March 05, 2019  The Florida Prison Education Project (FPEP) has received a $50,000 National Endowment for the Arts Artworks grant to support “Illuminating the Darkness: Our Carceral Landscape,” a project that will provide a series of visual arts workshops for men and women incarcerated in Central Florida.
