Architecture is a highly competitive and rigorous program. A prerequisite to joining the program and enrolling in ARC1301C Design 1, prospective students must successfully complete and rank in the top group of test takers during the spring semester prior to starting classes in the fall.
Are you ready to take the first steps?
Complete an Intent to Participate Application via Submittable here.
Once your form is submitted, you will be considered a candidate to receive the Studio Test via email on March 1.
- The assessment is designed to demonstrate your creative thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and effectiveness in following directions and managing your time. No prior experience in architecture is required.
- The Studio Test features a set of visual and written prompts thoughtfully developed by our core faculty.
- The test is preformatted to be printed on sheets of 8.5″ X 11″ paper.
- The results of this test will determine whether a student may enter ARC1301C Design I and the Architecture program. Decisions will be sent on April 15th via email.
- Admission into the program is separate from admission to the university. Students must meet all general admission requirements.
You will have twenty days to complete and submit the test. The final test must be submitted to the online portal by March 20, prior to 11:59PM.
