Katarina Monroe is the Administrative Assistant for Public History in the Department of History at the University of Central Florida. In this position, Katarina works closely with with Program Coordinator on most public history projects housed within the department and works alongside faculty and staff to plan and facilitate events throughout the academic year.

Katarina is a graduate of West Virginia University and holds a BFA in Theater with an emphasis in Acting and is currently pursuing a Masters Certificate in Event Administration here at UCF. 

Katarina is also an accomplished fashion designer and seamstress. She is a two-time Her Universe Fashion Show Designer Finalist and was the runner-up for Audience Choice at the 2021 event. She was also selected as a designer finalist for the Geekbound Fashion Challenge in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2023.
