Bobby Koelble is a graduate of Berklee College of Music (B.M. in Performance) who is equally at home playing jazz, rock, classical, blues and fingerstyle acoustic guitar. He is Professor of Jazz Guitar at the University of Central Florida (since 2007), Professor of Contemporary Guitar at Rollins College (since 1998), and also taught at Seminole State College from 2003-2005. He has been a featured clinician/presenter for Orange County Public Schools, and has directed their All County High School and Middle School guitar ensembles.

Notable performance credits include Sam Rivers, Chris Potter, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Dave Liebman, Wayne Newton, Lou Donaldson, Larry Coryell, Dave LaRue, Kenny Drew Jr., Mary Wilson, Martha Reeves, Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Crystals, and The Coasters among others. Orchestra credits include the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orlando Symphony Orchestra, the Florida Orchestra, and the touring productions of Newsies (Tampa) and Something Rotten (Tampa and Orlando).

His group The Absinthe Trio was voted Best Jazz Act by the readers of Orlando Weekly in 2016. He was also a guitarist for the influential heavy metal band Death, and currently plays for the official Death To All legacy band.
