July 14, 2008  At ClarinetFest in Kansas City, Keith Koons was elected president of the International Clarinet Association. He will serve from 2008 to 2010.

Student receives Honorable Mention in Research Showcase

April 25, 2008  Tristan Reiniers received an honorable mention in the Arts & Humanities category at the 2008 Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence. Tristan’s poster entitled “The Persistence of Self” was presented under faculty mentor Mason Cash.

Potter Sings with the Imperial Symphony in Don Giovanni

January 01, 2008  Baritone Thomas Potter sang the role of Baron Scarpia in a fully staged version of Puccini’s opera Tosca with the Imperial Symphony in Lakeland, Florida.

UCF Opera Professor Sings in Falstaff

May 01, 2007  Thomas Potter, Assistant Professor of Voice and Opera, sang the role of “Ford” in Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Falstaff with the Indianapolis Opera.
