Flute Boot Camp is a three-day, intensive program designed to educate and inspire young flutists. Daily masterclasses and individual coaching appointments provide continual and concentrated input from faculty. In addition to the daily curriculum, guest artists will give classes to the students.

Camp also features exercises and instruction in yoga, breathing techniques, body movement and wellness.

Refund Policy

Requests for refunds of camp tuition must be submitted no later than 11 business days prior to camp start date. No refunds will be considered within two weeks prior to the start of the camp session. Transaction fees paid to Purple Pass during registration are non-refundable, and a $50 processing fee is deducted from all refunds.

Food

Food will not be provided. Students are responsible for paying for their meals for the duration of the camp.

Day 1-2

7:30-7:45am - Check-in
8-9am - Yoga at the Performing Arts Center
9-10am - Flute Aerobics (Nora Lee García, D.M.A.)
10-11am - Flute Orchestra
11am-12pm - Breathing and Movement Class
12-1pm - Lunch and Tutoring sessions with assistants
1-2pm - Flute Orchestra
2-3pm - Flute Master Class with Dr. Garcia (All-State, memorization skills, concentration skills)
3pm - Check-out

Day 3

7:30-7:45am - Check-in
9-10am - Flute Warm up (Dr. Garcia)
10-11pm -  All-State Preparation (Dr. Garcia)
11-12pm - Flute Orchestra
12-1:00pm - Lunch
1-2:30pm - Flute Orchestra
2:30-3pm - Prepare for Concert
3-4pm - Boot Camp showcase and Flute Institute Open House. Final concert and All County Music store display

Parking Garage I (next to PAC Music Building) for $8 per day or next to Parking Garage I in a “green” spot. Please purchase the Daily Permit here. Please note that the red or blue parking is for faculty and staff only and will result in a ticket. Additionally, Parking Lots H4 (left of the PAC Building) and H2 (behind the PAC Building) will be closed.

Overnight campers will stay in UCF's Lake Claire housing.

Drop-off for housing will be inside the Performing Arts Center - Music Building at the Box Office. Check-in time for students that are staying in housing is Thursday, June 12 at 4PM.

Check-out will occur in the morning on the last day of camp. Luggage storage will be available.

Linens and towels are provided.
