Clarinet Day

The UCF Music Department is proud to announce the thirty-fifth annual UCF Clarinet Day on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Our guest artist will be Ricardo Morales, Principal Clarinet at The Philadelphia Orchestra.

Attendees will enjoy recital and clinic experiences, including an inspiring masterclass and recital with guest artist Ricardo Morales, featuring collaborations with Dr. Sun-A Park, piano, and Dr. Rie Suzuki, clarinet. Benny Romero will lead a special lecture and demonstration, “Clarinet Maintenance and Repair Concepts.”

Registration will begin at 12:00 noon, and events run from 12:30 to 5:30 PM.

Ricardo Morales

Ricardo Morales joined The Philadelphia Orchestra as principal clarinet in 2003 and made his solo debut with the Orchestra in 2004. He previously served as principal clarinet of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. During his tenure with that ensemble, he soloed at Carnegie Hall and on two European tours. He has also been a featured soloist with the Chicago Symphony, the Cincinnati Symphony, the Indianapolis Symphony, the Seoul Philharmonic, the Columbus Symphony, the Memphis Symphony, and the Flemish Radio Symphony.
