UCF Piano Graduate ‘17 Corin Staves Awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Munich, Germany

Congratulations to Corin Staves ’17, an alumnus of the Bachelor’s of Music in music performance and the Piano Studio, on being named a 2018-19 Fulbright Scholar and awarded a scholarship to participate in international exchange programs in Munich, Germany!  Staves is drawn to Munich because of its vibrant music community and plans to join a student orchestra and further his piano studies.  He will also pursue a master’s in transportation systems at the Technical University of Munich in the fall of 2018.

 

Staves graduated cum laude from UCF in December 2017 and earned three bachelor’s degrees: in Music (Piano Performance), Civil Engineering, and Mathematics.  During 2012-2017, Staves participated in many piano & music activities, undergraduate research, co-authored a journal article on transportation, and spent a year studying abroad at the University of Cantabria in Spain and the University of Surrey in England.
