Eladio Scharrón and Laszlo Marosi are pleased to announce their recently released album Héroes.
The recording presents more than thirty years of works premiered, commissioned by, or dedicated to Scharrón by an international group of composers including Antonio Ruiz-Pipó, Jorge Morel, Alberto Rodríguez-Ortiz, UCF’s Stella Sung, and others.
In addition, Ruiz-Pipó’s Third Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra receives its first world recording with Héroes. His first concerto was recorded in the early 1970s by Narciso Yepes with the London Symphony and distributed by Deutsche Gramophon the most important recording label for classical music in the world during that time.
Marosi conducts the Budafok Dohnanyi Orchestra on the recording. The works were composed for solo guitar, guitar and flute, and guitar and orchestra.
The album will be available for purchase on iTunes later this month.
