In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Aloma Cinema Grill will host a screening of the documentary Empower Ink, featuring SVAD graduate student Stacie Becker and her business, Empower Tattoo, a restorative medical tattoo service located in downtown Orlando that supports individuals with a history of breast cancer.
The film follows breast cancer survivors as they reclaim their bodies and identities through the healing art of medical tattooing.
The screening will take place on October 12 from 3 to 5 p.m. and will be followed by an informational session where documentary participants will answer questions and share research updates. Purchase tickets here.
