UCF professor of English and Texts and Technology Ph.D. program director Anastasia Salter has received the 2026 ACLS Open Access Book Prize selected from five finalists in the Literary/Media Studies category.

Applications for the Pabst Steinmetz Creative Futures Awards are open from Tuesday, Sept. 15, through Thursday, Dec. 11, 2026. Two UCF research teams will be selected to receive $25,000 each.

The project will engage undergraduate and graduate students to transform the dictionaries into searchable digital editions, preserving the texts that helped define and document American English.
