UCF professor of English and Texts and Technology Ph.D. program director Anastasia Salter and co-author Stuart Moulthrop have received the 2026 ACLS Open Access Book Prize in Literary/Media Studies for Twining: Critical and Creative Approaches to Hypertext Narratives.
Published by Amherst College Press in 2021, Twining explores the history, theory and creative possibilities of hypertext narratives. The book was selected from five finalists in the Literary/Media Studies category.
The $50,000 prize recognizes outstanding open access books in the humanities. Salter and Moulthrop will receive $20,000, while Amherst College Press will receive $30,000 to support the publication of at least two additional open access books.
