During the Connecting Classrooms project, American and Russian students are paired up as pen pals and given monthly tasks to present information about each other and their cultures in the target language they’re learning.

College of Arts and Humanities faculty, students and alumni collaborated with WUCF on the acclaimed material.

After over a year-and-a-half of working through COVID-19 precautions and guidelines, musical theater returns to the main stage in Theatre UCF’s “First Date.”

The Italian Club gave out free slices of pizza in celebration of National Sausage Pizza Day. Anyone who followed the club and the College of Arts and Humanities on social media was eligible for a free slice.

Theatre UCF’s production of the 2013 Broadway musical “First Date” explores the rollercoaster of emotions that overwhelm individuals on their journey to find love.

“Austin Winsberg, Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner set out to mine comedy in this rite-of-pass angst with a musical called First Date, which opened on Broadway in 2013 for a five-month run. The show is onstage in a perky production at Theatre UCF and it helps the show immensely that the appealing cast is so young.

Daniel M. Jones, Theatre UCF’s costume shop manager for over 15 years, made teddy bears come alive, dressed a musical busybody to the nines, raised his voice in joyous song and explored the art of female impersonation with UCF students.

A Celebration of Life event will be held for UCF’s longtime costume shop manager on Oct. 17. Reservations are required.
