The School of Visual Arts and Design Digital Media Showcase is an annual gathering presenting some of UCF’s most innovative interactive media projects. Patrons will experience, in hands-on fashion, dozens of games and creative projects designed and developed by Game Design, Web Design, and Emerging Media Management undergraduate students. Interactive learning experiences include active playtesting of video games and interactive website prototypes from UCF students along with the opportunity to talk about emerging interactive media tools and techniques with bright, next generation talent. Do not miss the opportunity to meet the student designers and understand the broad possibilities for careers in interactive media design and development.
The Games of Wrath, part of the Digital Media Showcase, features narrative-based games and digital novels inspired by The Grapes of Wrath and accompanying discussions surrounding environmentalism, modernization, and the shifting landscapes and identities of America. These individually-developed student works explore the future of literary expression through play.
