Most of the clients are visual learners, perceivers and thinkers. The desire to ‘speak out’ in non-verbal or atypical formats often emerges as a strong impulse that develops into visual/spatial talent. While largely untrained in the ‘formal’ arts, individuals show creative prowess that communicates passionately about the person’s wants, needs and ways they wish the world to be. Visitors of the show will learn about the artists, their pathways and history of expression, and the unique role autism holds for each artist.
Visit the “ART & AUTISM” space on the 2nd floor of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Orlando FL, March 30– April 12.
