Orlando Shakes, in partnership with UCF, presents its funny, fast-paced production of What the Constitution Means to Me as an enhanced staged reading. The emotions run deep in this politely confrontational hit that took Broadway by storm in 2019. Follow playwright Heidi Schreck’s whirlwind journey through the complexities of American democracy, gender equality and the evolving interpretation of the United States Constitution.
The reading will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A, including UCF Professor of History John Sacher and community members to be announced.
This production contains mentions of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and discussions of abortion and its stigmatization.
Students and UCF employees can use code shakescta26 for $15 tickets (discount only valid for tier two tickets). Valid UCF or student ID required.
