Theatre UCF at UCF Celebrates the Arts 2026!
2026-27 Season
We invite you to experience our six-show academic season, which features a variety of theatrical genres and forms selected for student education and audience engagement. The 2026-27 season features two musicals and four plays, spanning a wide range of styles from award-winning musicals to magical realism and Shakespeare. The first five productions will take place on UCF’s campus in the Black Box and Mainstage theatres, while the spring musical Young Frankenstein will headline UCF’s annual arts festival UCF Celebrates the Arts at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

The Hatmaker’s Wife
A young woman moves in with her boyfriend, full of hope for a fairytale existence. Talking walls soon reveal the lives of a previous couple who once called the apartment home. Explore a magical redefining of family and true love in Yee’s delightful play.

Broadway hit musical Godspell has moved audiences for over 45 years! Experience its timeless messages, based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew, through beloved hits like, “Day by Day,” “All Good Gifts,” and “By My Side.”

Blues for an Alabama Sky
Against the backdrop of African American culture in 1930s Harlem, Pearl Cleage weaves iconic history and social movements into the everyday lives of five characters. Follow their aspirations and hardships, one summer in Harlem.

Twelfth Night
Mistaken identity, love and revelry abound in Shakespeare’s enduring romantic comedy. Fast-paced and full of laughs, this play pulls you into its loveable chaos.

This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing
Led by the students of UCF’s Theatre for Young Audiences program, this production explores the bond of sisterhood through a fantastical story that’s sure to charm audiences of all ages.
