Peter Weishar is the Director of the Themed Experience graduate programs at the University of Central Florida’s School of Performing Arts. Most recently, Weishar served as dean of Florida State University’s College of Fine Ats and as dean of the Savannah College of Art and Design’s School of Entertainment Arts. Weishar also served as a professor of computer animation and digital media, as well as acting director of the animation program at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. He is the author of three books on digital art animation. Peter Weishar is currently on the Board of Directors of the Themed Entertainment Association and is serving as the president of the Themed Experience and Attractions Academic Society. He is the recipient of the 2023 Peter Chernak Service Award from the TEA.  Weishar earned his degree at Union College in 1983 and studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and Tel Aviv University.
