Professor Ayako Yonetani DMA of violin and viola was invited to give a violin master class at the Taipei University of the Arts, the premier music program in Taiwan, in November.
In December, the Shanghai Orchestra Academy and Min Cheng (Principal Bassoonist of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra) invited assistant professor of bassoon Yoon Joo Hwang DMA to give a master class at the Shanghai Symphony Concert Hall on December 7. Professor Hwang also met Doug He, the Academy Executive Director of the Shanghai Orchestra Academy, to discuss a partnership with UCF.
Next, Hwang traveled to Shenzhen Arts School to give a master class there December 10. She was invited by Chu Sun (oboe faculty), Cao Mao and Evan Gao Zhao (bassoon faculty) of the Shenzhen Arts School, and she also met Ran Tao (wind chair) and Frank Hongye Huang (Director of International Affairs).
