On December 12 – February 1, M. Laine Wyatt showcased a body of photography at the Portfolio 2014 exhibition at the Atlanta Photography Group Gallery in the Tula Art Center, Atlanta, Georgia. The competition and exhibition was sponsored by the Atlanta Photography Group and was juried by Richard McCabe, Curator of Photography at the Ogden Museum in New Orleans.
Wyatt is currently an Associate Professor of Art at UCF. Wyatt received an M.F.A. in studio art/photography from Florida State University and has been teaching for over 20 years. Her work has been showcased in over 100 shows across the nation and in Europe. She is a member of the Society for Photographic Education and coordinates the annual thesis show for the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies/UCF Seniors.
The Atlanta Photography Group is a nonprofit gallery which promotes and supports contemporary photography as a significant art form. It seeks to challenge photographic conventions, stimulate new thinking and exploration of experimental forms of photographic expression. The Portfolio exhibition is an annual competition and gallery that awards a place in the permanent collection of the High Museum of Art and the High Museum Purchase Award including a cash prize. The APG Gallery is free and open to the public.
