The University of Central Florida’s College of Arts and Humanities is pleased to announce the appointment of Adora English as an instructor of Themed Experience, where she will help launch and lead the program’s new Producing concentration starting in fall 2025.
English brings extensive expertise in themed entertainment, media production, and strategic communications, making her a pivotal addition to the program.
Before joining UCF, English served as Director of Global Internal Communications at Universal Destinations & Experiences. Since 2019, she has held multiple leadership roles within Universal Creative, overseeing Global Communications, Brand Management, and Team Member Experience.
Beyond themed entertainment, English has built a distinguished career in media and production. As co-creator, show runner, and executive producer for morning news, afternoon talk, and late-night programming in New York and Los Angeles, she has earned two Emmy nominations. Her Los Angeles-based company, Media Savvy, specialized in program development, production, and media coaching for Academy Award-winning celebrities, executives, influencers, and brands.
English also played a pivotal role in strengthening Celebrity Cruises’ leadership presence, elevating its first female President & CEO through immersive events, strategic partnerships, and industry recognition during the launch of the Celebrity Edge class of ships.
“Adora English is a natural mentor and educator, bringing invaluable industry experience into the classroom. She has long supported our program, and I can’t think of a more qualified professional to help shape our new Producing concentration.” — Peter Weishar, Director of Themed Experience
English has remained deeply engaged with UCF through her role on the Themed Experience Advisory Council, where she helped shape curriculum and connected students with real-world opportunities. Her commitment to mentorship and professional development will be instrumental in advancing the program’s growth and impact.
