UCF animation alumnus Trey Buongiorno won at the 2nd Children’s and Family Emmy Awards in December 2023 for the episode “Moon Girl Landing” of the series “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.”
“I’m not really a lucky guy, so I was like, ‘there’s no way,’ but it actually worked out. It was totally crazy; I can’t even believe it,” Buongiorno said.
