Orlando, FL – Theatre UCF’s six-show season invites audiences to experience a range of theatrical styles through productions focused on how humans create meaning for themselves and their communities. The 2026-27 lineup includes two musicals and four plays, and features everything from hit musicals to historical fiction and iconic comedy. The first five productions will take place on UCF’s campus in the Black Box and Main Stage theatres, while the spring musical, Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein, will headline UCF’s annual arts festival, UCF Celebrates the Arts, at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
“As we shaped this season, we kept coming back to themes and theatrical forms that elevate, generate new ideas, and invite moments of wonder —from magical realism and historical drama to Shakespearean comedy and Mel Brooks’ musical,” says Theatre UCF Artistic Director Julia Listengarten. “What connects these works is an impulse to explore how people create meaning together—through love, humor, faith, identity, and community.”
