UCF School of Visual Arts & Design professors Matt Dombrowski and Scott F. Hall is featured in an exhibit at Purdue University. Their work will screen at the Fountain Gallery in Lafayette, Indiana as part of “Set in Motion: Video Art & Experimental Film Nights.”
“Set in Motion” is a night of contemporary video art and experimental short film screenings that explore how motion, time, repetition, and narrative can change the way we see art. With video capabilities becoming part of our everyday, the event encourages artists to challenge the medium, and in turn question our reality.
The work by Dombrowski and Hall will appear in a showcase exploring the theme “Under the Surface.”
“It is very exciting to be a part of ‘Set in Motion.’ I am very excited that out of the nine artists chosen nationwide, Scott and I could both represent UCF and SVAD,” Matt Dombrowski.
“Anima Mentis,” by Scott F. Hall, Eleni Manolaraki, and Elise Frost; “Dance of Joy” by Matt Dombrowski; and “Spore,” video by Matt Dombrowski and sound by Scott F. Hall, will screen on October 23 at 7pm. A second screening is scheduled for December 10 at noon.
