“Solo,” the latest film from Robert Jones, will screen December 17 as part of the NewFilmmakers New York series.
Jones is an independent film producer, writer and director as well as an Associate Professor of Film at UCF’s School of Visual Arts & Design. He has directed over fifty productions including “Solo,” an animal rights film.
Associate Professor and screenwriter Barry Sandler described the film’s impact, “[J]ust watched it— whew! It really upset me (as it should), but it’s terrific and should be seen by everyone. Bravo.”
NewFilmmakers New York screens weekly at the Anthology Film Archives, one of the leading theaters in New York City and the only theater truly dedicated to independent, underground and experimental film. It is the longest running screening series in New York and one of the longest running series in the nation.
“Solo” has since been screened at The International Film Festival of India and has received the Award of Excellence from the Best Short Films Festival.
