On December 5, associate professor of Russian Alla Kourova attended the 20th anniversary of the first Russian Cultural Center in the USA, at the Embassy of Russian Federation in Washington DC. The invitation was from the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Anatoly Antonov, and the director of Russian Cultural Center in Washington D.C., Mark Kalinin. Kourova was one of the speakers at the event, as well as Ambassador Antonov; and Dr. William Craft Brumfield, Professor of Slavic studies at Tulane University; Lloyd Costley. Musical program by Yuri Rozum, one of the top ten classical musicians in Russia, entertained guests during the ceremony.
