It was an amazing experience to work with the director, Deborah Ortiz, on this project; her passion for this project is contagious … It was incredibly helpful to be in the film program while working on this documentary, because I was able utilize a multitude of filmmaking techniques that I learned from the faculty.”
To date, Code 9 has received accolades as winner of the Audience Choice—Feature at the Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival, Award of Merit from the IndieFEST Film Awards, Laurel of Excellence from the TBAE Film Showcase and nomination for Best Documentary at the Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival.
