The UCF School of Visual Arts & Design announces the latest winner of the J.R. Hopes Art “Eye for Broadway” Art Competition.
Autumn Barachina is the winner for Rodger & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Autumn, a native of Winter Park, Florida, is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a specialization in illustration. Her artistic influences include Hayao Miyazaki and Kaori Yuki.
The competition invites SVAD students to create art inspired by upcoming Broadway performances at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Winners receive $500, and the chosen artworks will be displayed in the Dr. Phillips venue during the run of their respective Broadway shows.
The awards, sponsored by Jim Hopes, are dedicated to nurturing young artists at UCF, encouraging them to make an impact in the Orlando community and beyond.
