Department Archives: Writing and Rhetoric

The UCF campus will be closed for operations on Wednesday and Thursday due to Tropical Storm Nicole, and Friday for Veterans Day. All public events scheduled for those days will be canceled or rescheduled.

The artifacts and little-known stories of the area’s LGBTQ community have found a safe place at UCF, where volunteers have also provided the ears to keep the history alive.

To celebrate National Day on Writing on Thursday, Oct. 20, the Department of Writing and Rhetoric, the University Writing Center and Writing Across the Curriculum are hosting writing activities across campus.

On Sept. 26, actor, writer and activist Kal Penn will visit the UCF Student Union for a free event where he will read and discuss his comedic memoir, You Can’t Be Serious. The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Writing and Rhetoric.

The College of Arts and Humanities welcomes the faculty members that joined our college this fall!

Isaac Gonzalez Rossi ’15, a theatre and writing and rhetoric graduate, stars as Matias in the newly-released That’s Amor on Netflix. 

Students are encouraged to attend welcome events throughout the first week, meet with faculty and other students, and engage with academic resources.
