Dr. Sonia Stephens of English and Texts & Technology is part of the team developing the program. She is a co-principal investigator of the project.

Two Texts & Technology colleagues were awarded a prestigious NEH grant and are planning to do incredible things in digital humanities with it, such as a five-day institute next summer.

Texts & Technology Ph. D graduate Wendy Givoglu was recently appointed to serve as the Interim Campus President for two of Valencia College’s campuses.

Apply for the Pabst Steinmetz Foundation Arts & Wellness Innovation Awards now through October 10. Two winners will be selected and receive $25,000 each. The purpose of the awards is to build sustainable models for arts and wellness innovation both across the community and UCF campus.

David Morton recounts his trip to India, where he explored the country’s cinematic past and present. A passionate enthusiast for international cinema, he was presented with an extraordinary opportunity to go behind the scenes to study one of India’s oldest and internationally prestigious motion picture industries.

Faculty members from across the college were honored at the 2019 Founders’ Day Honors Convocation, which recognizes UCF faculty members and students from across disciplines for their academic achievements, contributions and tenures.

Dr. Mel Stanfill’s new book Exploiting Fandom. Exploiting Fandom examines how the relationship of media industries to fans is shaped by heteronormativity, whiteness, consumption, copyright law and labor.

T&T student Jessica Campbell presented her paper “Contextual User-centered Design – A Provisional Framework for Design Without the User” at the 2019 Symposium on Communicating Complex Information (SCCI) in Shreveport, LA from February 25-26.

Alumna Carissa Baker ’18, the first T&T doctoral student awarded Order of Pegasus, was awarded the Outstanding Dissertation Award from the UCF College of Arts and Humanities.
