Theatre UCF’s production of the 2013 Broadway musical “First Date” explores the rollercoaster of emotions that overwhelm individuals on their journey to find love.
“Austin Winsberg, Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner set out to mine comedy in this rite-of-pass angst with a musical called First Date, which opened on Broadway in 2013 for a five-month run. The show is onstage in a perky production at Theatre UCF and it helps the show immensely that the appealing cast is so young.
Daniel M. Jones, Theatre UCF’s costume shop manager for over 15 years, made teddy bears come alive, dressed a musical busybody to the nines, raised his voice in joyous song and explored the art of female impersonation with UCF students.
Christie Digital, a global audio visual solutions company, has partnered with UCF’s themed experience graduate programs to provide students with leading technology found in entertainment venues around the world.
