Orlando Sentinel has shared a story about Iryna Usova, a Ukranian musician and UCF alumna who has returned to Central Florida after fleeing her war-torn home country. Usova will be performing a benefit concert on Thursday, Aug. 25 at St. Luke’s Church in Oviedo.
Students from all majors are invited to join the new Arts Ambassador program, which seeks to bring more attention to UCF’s visual arts, theatre and music activities. The first meeting is on Monday, August 22 at 6 p.m. in Studio One of the Performing Arts Center-Theatre (building 119).
The top-charting sextet, The Jazz Professors, lend their musical expertise to their fourth album “Blues and Cubes.” Comprised of six UCF faculty, The Jazz Professors are a testament to the wealth of talent that resides within the School of Performing Arts.
With a variety of plays and musicals ranging from Shakespeare to bluegrass, Theatre UCF’s 2022-23 season looks at the relationship between individuals and institutions, exploring themes of power structures, corruption and social systems, as well as lighter moments of comedy and love.
The faculty members will engage in cutting-edge research and expand their professional networks internationally, which may help UCF develop future partnerships institutions abroad.
