This course, which is offered in the spring, covers regions and countries beyond India, Japan, Korea and China and highlights the impact of local cultures on global issues.

Christian Ravela, an assistant professor of philosophy who specializes in critical race theory, cultural studies and Asian American studies, provides some context on racism that dates back to the beginning of Asian individuals’ migration to the United States during the 1800s.
