Department Archives: Modern Languages and Literatures

Faculty members from across the college were honored for the 2021 Founders’ Day Honors Convocation, which recognizes UCF faculty members and students from across disciplines for their academic achievements, contributions and tenures.

The annual recognition celebrates the outstanding academic achievements of our faculty members and students.

The commencement ceremony for graduates of the College of Arts and Humanities will be Friday, May 7 at 9 am.

A record-breaking 16 UCF students and alumni, including a CAH alumna, were named National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellows this year.

Guy Raffa, an expert of Dante’s life, works and legacy, will be speaking at the annual Neil R. Euliano Lecture Series about the physical afterlife and graveyard history of the poet responsible for Divine Comedy.

Each March, Faculty Excellence honors 31 women for their impact on students and UCF’s campus community. This year, four CAH faculty members are among the honorees.

Maria C. Santana, director of the Women’s and Gender Studies program, was a guest on UCF’s “Matters of Diversity with Dr. B” podcast.

The 2021 class, including two College of Arts and Humanities graduates, will be honored in a celebratory event later this spring.

The UCF Spanish Graduate Association (SaGA) hosts regular events for the UCF community to celebrate Spanish literature, language and culture, including the upcoming Annual Colloquium.

The winning projects, which received $25,000, were chosen for being interdisciplinary, sustainable and community focused.
