Associate Dean Lynn Hepner ’95MA is retiring from UCF on August 7. Her ability to anticipate the needs of the college and to provide the right data at the right time has made her invaluable to CAH.

UCF Director of Orchestras Chung Park reflects on a shared a meal with chef Lidia Bastianich during UCF Celebrates the Arts 2022. Bastianich was invited to talk at the annual festival as part of the Neil R. Euliano Speaker Series, hosted by UCF’s Italian Studies program.

This year, the 11-day festival known as UCF Celebrates the Arts is back and bigger than ever before.

“We asked for a ‘little help from our friends’ this year, and our friends delivered,” says Jeff Moore, dean of the College of Arts and Humanities.

Jim Rosengren, friend and supporter of UCF, passed away March 28.

Started in 2015, UCF Celebrates the Arts continues to grow with this year’s festival. Here, representing various artistic genres, are five key programs at the festival to check out.

Eight faculty members with the College of Arts and Humanities were honored for their works, which ranged from novels to textbooks.

Associate professor of Russian Alla Kourova was honored by the Florida Foreign Language Association with the organization’s Most Valuable Teacher Award.

During the Connecting Classrooms project, American and Russian students are paired up as pen pals and given monthly tasks to present information about each other and their cultures in the target language they’re learning.

The Italian Club gave out free slices of pizza in celebration of National Sausage Pizza Day. Anyone who followed the club and the College of Arts and Humanities on social media was eligible for a free slice.
