Rachel Braaten, a distinguished alumna of the Texts and Technology PhD program at the University of Central Florida (UCF), brings her own distinct perspective to the exploration of Stoeckl’s legacy, a perspective that is both scholarly and creative.
Two projects focused on collaboration within diverse communities have been named winners of the 2023 Pabst Steinmetz Foundation Arts and Wellness Innovation Awards. The project teams comprising UCF researchers and community partners were granted $25,000 to help fund their respective initiatives.
“Filthy Dreamers” was narrated by associate professor of history Connie Lester, and led by project faculty advisers Robert Cassanello, Ph.D., and Lisa Mills, Ph.D.
Maria Harrington earned the grant after creating the Virtual UCF Arboretum and will use the funds to enhance immersive learning experiences about the natural world.
