Throughout the hybrid workshop series, themed experience graduate students and alumni will create new realms with one of the industry’s most innovative leaders.

Mär Martinez, Leo Cordovi and MJ Torrecampo, all UCF alumni, will show their work at the Maitland Art Center Gallery exhibition In Between: Painting the Post Immigration Experience from Oct. 8, 2022, through Jan. 22, 2023.

The UCF campus will be closed for operations on Wednesday and Thursday, and classes are also canceled on Friday. All public events scheduled for those days will be canceled or rescheduled.

“The Interference,” onstage in an urgent, driving production at Theatre UCF, gives a sense of the jangling of emotions that must be felt by anyone who lives through a traumatic experience.

Three Theatre UCF alumni, Maurice Mallard, Arius West and Christopher Payen, are working together to realize their shared goal.

On Sept. 26, actor, writer and activist Kal Penn will visit the UCF Student Union for a free event where he will read and discuss his comedic memoir, You Can’t Be Serious. The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Writing and Rhetoric.

Tyler Fisher, associate professor of modern languages and literatures and Burnett Honors College Faculty Fellow, penned this memory in his journal during his first year living in England to attend Oxford University. He and other Rhodes Scholars met Queen Elizabeth II (and a surprise visitor!) in October 2003.

Associate professor Alla Kourova has received a new grant to expand UCF’s STARTALK Intensive Russian Language program. The hybrid program lasts four semesters, including a residential summer camp, and will be free to high school seniors and college freshmen located anywhere in the United States.
