Two Nicholson students were named to the 2017 class of the American Advertising Federation’s Most Promising Multicultural Students Program. Alexandra DeCespedes and Linnea Goodman are advertising-public relations majors who will graduate in the spring.
Alexandra DeCespedes, an advertising-public relations and graphic design major, said she felt honored to be recognized.
“As a Cuban American and with all the recent news, it was a great reminder of all the opportunities my family has blessed me with by coming to this country,” said DeCespedes, who is from Miami. “It was extremely rewarding to win this award and I wanted to thank my family by working very hard in college, taking advantage of all the opportunities that come my way to create a better future for myself and those who come after me.”
