The University of Central Florida Art Gallery is honored to host this MFA thesis exhibition which presents new emerging works of Melissa Bush, Jeremy Eldridge, Gabe Gonzalez, Bryce Hammond, Chad Burton Johnson, and Noura Shuqair.
Each of these artists brings to the Six Trick Pony exhibition his or her unique interdisciplinary exploration of common themes; Six emerging artists, six methods investigating the themes of identity and place. The collective outcome of these artists’ works is aggressive social commentary.
The exhibition includes paintings, photographs and other art objects that employ diverse methods and unconventional media, as well as life-scale structural installations which encourage public participation.
The Opening Reception is March 14 from 6pm to 8pm. Admission to the event is free and open to the public. DJ Stereo 77 will be performing for the duration of the opening at the gallery entrance. Refreshments will be served.
