Join contemporary artist Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz and local paper artist Ka Malinalli, for a special Catrina (traditionally designed Mexican skull) making workshop dedicated to the 49 lives lost and the living victims of the Pulse nightclub tragedy. The decorated skulls created in the workshop will be part of a larger Pulse Ofrenda installed at Chicago’s National Museum of Mexican Art’s annual Dia de los Muertos exhibition.  The site-specific installation will be created by Raimundi-Ortiz and will feature offerings donated by Orlando residents.

Both artists are affiliates of QLatinx—the only grassroots racial, social and gender justice organization dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of Orlando’s LGBTQ+ Latinx community.
